Cleveleys which is situated 4 miles north of Blackpool and 2 miles south of Fleetwood has recently undergone a £20m redevelopment of the promenade. It has wide sandy beaches and provides views over the Irish seas to the West and Morecambe Bay and the Lake District mountains to the north.
This new leisure development includes places to eat and a cinema. Enjoy the public artworks, part of the stylish new promenade area. Jubilee Gardens has also undergone a complete transformation and there will be a new programme of events taking place on the seafront. The reinstatement of Kiddies Corner on the new promenade has been much welcomed, especially for our younger children.
Tourists flock to this seaside town to stroll along the wide walkway of the new ‘award – winning’ promenade with its wide sandy beach where you can sit, relax and watch the migrating birds reach our shores from distant lands.
Shoppers will be kept busy with market stalls and street stores stretching the length of the town where there are bargains to suit every pocket. Then take a break, and sample abundance of cafes and restaurants lining the route.

Thornton is home to Marsh Mill Windmill, a lovingly restored, fully working mill, which also serves as a visitor and heritage centre, the Thornton Little Theatre and the Green Flag awarded Wyre Estuary Country Park, which is a wonderful place to take the children. Fully accessible the park and visitor centre offer an opportunity to buy refreshments, walk along the network of footpaths or sit and watch the wildlife along the jet skis and boats making the most of the estuary.

The Marine Hall offers daily and evening entertainments, with catering, bars
and events for all the family. Miss Wyre Competition held here between July and August.
Olde Tyme Music Hall held on Wednesday evenings from July to September, and Sequence
Dancing from September to October.
Fleetwood Museum Discover the fascinating story of Fleetwood and its fishing
heritage, visit the interactive gallery for insight into the latest technology, learn
about lifeboats and call into the Dolls House to sample the entertaining experience of a
1930's 'Boarding House' whose residents are all historical dolls.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach The Pleasure Beach is the UK's biggest tourist
attraction and offers and wide range of rollercoaster rides and shows. Entry into the
Pleasure Beach is free, visitors pay for individually for each attraction and may
purchase discount sheets of ride tickets.
Blackpool Tower Built in 1894, Blackpool Tower is Blackpool's famous landmark.
The 519 foot tower houses exhibitions and entertainment for the whole family. Kids will
particularly enjoy Jungle Jim's and the Dinosaur Ride, a journey back 4.5 billion years

Blackpool Illuminations Described as "the greatest free show on earth" this
impressive autumnal display brings the whole of the Promenade to colour with six miles of
stunning lights.
